Parks & Recreation
The City of St. Helena Recreation Departmentâ€™s mission is to enrich resident lives through providing quality recreation programs and services and to provide safe and well-maintained facilities and parks, while anticipating the changing needs of the community. The Recreation Department provides programs in aquatics, youth and adult sports, community classes and events, youth and teen programs, after-school and educational programs, and summer camps. City recreation facilities include the Carnegie Building, the Teen Center, Crane Park, the Skate Park, tennis courts, and bocce courts, Jacob Meily Park and Wappo Park.

The Recreation Department is located in the Carnegie Building at 1360 Oak Avenue and is open Monday â€“ Friday; 9:00 a.m. â€“ 5:00 p.m.

The Parks Division of Public Works maintains ten City parks, four pathways, City parking lots, and street trees and benches. In addition, this department maintains the landscaping around five government buildings, and is responsible for herbicide applications around all city facilities and roadsides. The department also provides maintenance labor for the Tree City U.S.A., a program sponsored by the Arbor Day Foundation. To make Park Reservations please contact the Recreation Department or City Hall. Â Park Reservations can only be made for Crane Park and Lyman Park.
